Besides things you should know yourself (like your name and address) you will need the following information;

Size of system

In the Product Details section, you will need to know the size of panel you are installing. In the case of our Gasokol Flat Plate panels, the "aperture area" which is the figure you require is 2 square metres per panel. So if you are getting a 2 panel system you will apply for a grant based on 4 square metres, a 3 panel system will be 6 square meters and so on

The following information sets out the figures you require for various panel sizes;

If you are installing an on roof Sunny Sol panel enter: SEI – ST – 283P
If you are installing an on roof Tec Sol panel enter: SEI – ST – 60P
If you are installing an in roof Top Sol panel enter: SEI – ST – 61P

Installers

Question B2 will need an installer name and SEI registered number for that installer.

If you are using an installer who is registered with SEI, you will need to get their registration number.

In some cases (and only with prior agreement) we can arrange commissioning of your system and your own plumber can install it. In that case, you should list your installer as Ecologics. You can contact our office to get our registered installer number.

In the section on Solar Collector Type, click the box for "Flat Plate"

The number of collectors will depend on the number of actual panels you have (2 if you have 2 X collectors 4 m2, 3 if you have 3 X collectors 6m2)

The "Total Surface Area" and "Estimated Annual Yield" are as per the list above

Hot Water Storage

This relates to your hot water cylinder. You will usually be installing a twin coil cylinder (unless you need a 3 coil one for some reason). If you feed this from an attic tank, it is referred to as "VENTED". If the cylinder is directly fed by the mains (sometimes called pressurised) it is referred to as "UNVENTED"

Primary Circuit

If the solar panel is low in the roof and you are installing a small attic tank to feed the solar panel, you should tick "feed & vent". If the system is pressurised you should tick "sealed system". If you have no pump or controller
and the panel is below the level of your cylinder you should tick "thermosyphon". In almost all cases you should tick the box for "indirect".
